"A Painted Reflection" by Debbie Oppermann. This large Painted Turtle, Chrysemys picta marginata, basking in the sun on a log in the Speed River Guelph Ontario, stayed just long enough for me to capture this terrific reflection image with a fly buzzing around the reptile. I am always happy when I am able to capture a turtle image as it sometimes seems that they know you are coming before you get there, and slide into the water, no matter how stealthily you approach!
