"After The Harvest" by Debbie Oppermann. The harvested corn field covered in snow in late fall is divided from the public trail by an old electric fence with wooden posts and a red metal gate. The path ends at the Speed River in Guelph Ontario Canada and is a great place to take the dogs for a run although you do have to watch for coyotes in this area.
