"Bald Eagle On Snag" by Debbie Oppermann. The Bald Eagle numbers are slowly increasing throughout Ontario and I am so happy. I was quite thrilled to see this majestic, powerful bird of prey as we were embarking on our day trip to the French River Delta, Georgian Bay. Our guide could only get so close as there was no way that we could maneuver the boat through all the rocks. The Eagle picked the perfect spot on top of the dead tree not only for it's view but to keep people from getting too close to it's perch.
