"Blanding's Turtle" by Debbie Oppermann. I was quite thrilled to spot this Blanding's Turtle, a species at risk in Ontario, at the Key River , Georgian Bay. We were cruising in the boat around the mouth of the river at the bay and saw this one with it's head poked out and resting on some rocks. The Blanding's Turtles have a yellow chin and throat, domed carapace and yellow flecks.
