"Coopers Hawk In Fall" by Debbie Oppermann. This Coopers Hawk, Accipiter Cooperii, with it's back to me, had heard me open the door and was listening intently. You always know when a Hawk is around as it becomes real quiet. The birds disappear quickly, some hiding deep in the Spruce trees in my backyard in Guelph Ontario Canada. I tried to quietly get closer but of course it saw me and moved on.
