"Fall Seashells On Wood" by Debbie Oppermann. These small fungi, Bracket Fungus, are quite common and grow on dead wood in the forests in the autumn in Guelph Ontario Canada. My first thought when spotting this fungus was that they reminded me of seashells and they looked so pretty on this log with the golden red Maple Leaf resting on them.
