"Goose Family" by Debbie Oppermann. The Canada Geese, Branta Canadensis, family bonds are strong with the goslings staying with the parents for a full year. The Canada Goose finds its mate during its second year and once paired, remain together for life. A pair and its goslings are an almost inseparable troupe acting in unison. Usually the female leads the way followed by the young and the gander. The roadside, rural pond in Guelph Ontario Canada is a great place to watch the aquatic life and of course babies are always a treat to watch.
