Description
"Here She Comes" by Debbie Oppermann. The Osprey nests are huge and made of branches, rope, stakes, cloth, plastic and anything else they find. They make these huge nests in trees quite high up or use man made nests on top of poles. This female Osprey, Pandion haliaetus, or Sea Hawk, was on the move as soon as she felt we were too close to her nest with her two young peeking over the side at us. We had just rounded a bend on the Moon River, Ontario Canada in our boat, when we spotted the occupied nest and were cruising slowly so as not to bother her but even that distance was too close for her and she was letting us know and swooped above us until we were well away.
