"Ol' Blue Eyes"by Debbie Oppermann. Yeah I know, it's not Frank Sinatra but the first thing I thought of when I saw these beautiful, blue/turquoise eyes was Frank Sinatra, so that's the title of this image. A lone Double Crested Cormorant perches on the lichen covered rock on an island in Shawanaga Bay, Georgian Bay Ontario Canada. It is quite lovely with iridescent black plumage, brilliant blue eyes and orange - yellow skin around the long, thin, hooked bill. They eat only fish and are amazing divers, diving as deep as 37metres.
