"Old Wood Spoke Wheel" by Debbie Oppermann. While staying at Bear's Den Lodge which was built in 1925, by a banker from New York USA, on the French River Ontario Canada, the owner's son had told us of some interesting old "stuff" down a trail on their property. We found this vintage wood ten spoke wheel attached to the remains of an automobile and piled high with other bits of metal. When talking to a family member at the lodge, he gave us some of the history of this old auto. The story is not verified but it seems that the antique automobile was supposedly an early 1900's Maxwell, so if that is true, this is one very old wheel!
