"Peanut Treat" by Debbie Oppermann. The American Red Squirrel is a small, territorial animal with red fur, white underbelly, and long fluffy tail that eats mainly the seeds of the conifer cone and since we have lots of Spruce trees, we are overrun with them. They are cute though, and this one sitting on the wooden fence rail dining on the shell peanut in Guelph Ontario Canada was super cute with the sun shining so brightly and enhancing the red fur.
