"Roadside Warrior" by Debbie Oppermann. While driving on a country road in Guelph Ontario Canada, I spotted this Red Tailed Hawk having lunch by the side of the road. I was surprised that it didn't take the animal farther away so it could enjoy it without interruption. While I was watching it eat, I guess it had enough of me ogling it and moved away to the grass and then up on the fence post and then gone. It must have come back and removed it as I was passing by 30 minutes later and there was no sign of any remains by the road.
