"Snowy Owl Take Off From Field" by Debbie Oppermann. Imagine my delight when I was able to capture the regal female Snowy Owl sitting in the winter corn field and then taking off with wings up high. The females are difficult to find in a field like this as they blend in so well. They are a sit and wait hunter, silent and patient they survey the winter fields as they hunt during the day, unlike other Owls. There haven't been too many sightings of the Snowy this winter so far, so actually spotting this Arctic beauty between Fergus and Arthur Ontario Canada was thrilling!
