"Snug Harbour Lighthouse" by Debbie Oppermann. The Snug Harbour Lighthouse is located on Snug Island Georgian Bay Ontario Canada and is a beacon for those entering the channels to Parry Sound. and Snug Harbour. The red and white wood, stone and metal landmark rests on granite and is surrounded by Pine trees and scrub bushes. The wide black band in the center is for daylight use and the lantern is at the top of the tapered and hipped roof. It is a federal heritage building built in 1894.
