"Striped Skunk" by Debbie Oppermann. Well, I had a shock when I went out on the deck to check out the garden one fine summer morning. This striped Skunk was wandering around the veggies and herbs. It was just slowly checking things out and every so often it would start chomping on something and start digging. It was actually cute but totally unwelcome in my backyard in Guelph Ontario Canada. I was just happy that it didn't feel threatened as I took some pictures from the deck and far enough away, as I would definitely not be too happy to get sprayed. When it ventured to the far back of the yard behind the Spruce trees I lost track of it so I assumed it squeezed through the fence boards and was investigating someone else's yard.
