"Thistle Island Visitor" by Debbie Oppermann. While vacationing on Thistle Island, Georgian Bay Ontario Canada, I was not thrilled to see a Northern Water Snake slithering along the rocky shore. I am not a fan of snakes and debated whether to go into the cottage and wait until it left but if I did then I wouldn't see where it went. So I decided to to watch it and good thing I did, as, after a few minutes of checking out the shore and spotting us, it turned around and went back to the mainland I presume. I just know it left!
