"Trumpet Buds And Blooms" by Debbie Oppermann. The yellow Angel's Trumpet or Brugmansia is a tropical, exotic shrub that I put outside in the spring and bring inside in the winter. The buds are intriguing with their long points and the large, pendulous shaped flowers are most fragrant in the evening when they attract the pollinating moths. When the shrub is in full bloom the display is outstanding and when it is windy, they love to dance. The yellow swirling skirt tipped up is not so ladylike, more of a femme fatale as the whole plant is toxic!
