Description
"White Tailed Deer Dining" by Debbie Oppermann. While walking at the arboretum in Guelph Ontario Canada, I spotted this graceful White Tailed Deer. The doe was feeding in the fields on the grasses and leaves of the trees and spotted me right away, but continued eating, while allowing me to get closer. The White Tailed Deer, a herbivore, hold a strong social, ecological and economic importance in Ontario. They are an integral part of Ontario's biodiversity and generate millions of dollars in economic activity through hunting, viewing and tourism each year. They are the most common and widely distributed mammal in North America.
