Description
"Grow Where You Are Planted" by Debbie Oppermann. What is your first thought when viewing this image? My first thought when I saw it was "grow where you are planted." A fork sticking out of a hill of gravel with a small plant growing beside it seems to me to be a message for all of us. We can't always choose the cards we have been dealt, but we can learn to play them. Like a flower that grows through a crack in the concrete, or a symbolic fork utensil planted in a gravel hill, sometimes we have to make the best of our situations and bloom where we have been planted. This was found near a homeless camp along the river that had been vacated to another location. It could symbolize those that are hungry and trying to grow their own food or it could have no meaning whatsoever. Grow Where You’re Planted was started by Ashley Lundgren based on the idea that you can always begin where you are.
