"Caution Advised" by Debbie Oppermann. The Barrel Cactus, Echinocactus grusonii, one of the largest of the cacti, is barrel shaped and has numerous ribs with long yellow spines. It is humorously called "Mother in law's cushion." They live mostly in the dry desert regions and the "barrel" is like a water reservoir. They are extremely beautiful but it's a case of "Look, don't touch!"
