Description
"Chestnut Sided Warbler In The Spotlight" by Debbie Oppermann. I love how the early morning light highlights this lovely warbler. This Chestnut Sided Warbler, Setophaga pensylvanica, has very distinctive coloring with a yellow crown, white breast, chestnut or reddish streaks and a black mustache. It's song sounds like, "please please pleased to meetcha." An insectivorous bird whose habitat is second growth and scrubby woods.
