Artist's Description
"Deer Path" by Debbie Oppermann. Not wanting to get lost in the corn field, I wandered just far enough in to get some shots but still find my way out. Yes it is a huge field. The corn that wasn't already eaten by the deer was ready to be harvested. It looked like the Deer had trampled a number of stalks and the birds were having a feast. Although this was not sweet corn, one of the summer's simplest and purest pleasures, the field corn was still needed for use in cereals and corn meal and also for animal feed and in the making of ethanol.
