"Devil's Paintbrush Visitor" by Debbie Oppermann. The very tiny Clearwing Hummingbird Moth, Hemaris thysbe, nectars on the yellow Devils Paintbrush or Hawkweed, in the woods at Key River Ontario Canada. They are beautiful moths with transparent wings, curled proboscis, green and burgundy coloring and hover and hum just like hummingbirds. They are unique among moths as they are out and about during the day, not at night, sipping on the flower nectar.
