"Down The Chute" by Debbie Oppermann. Sturgeon Chutes on the Wanapitei River, French River, in the French River Provincial Park is an area of outstanding beauty. In all the times we have traveled to Sturgeon Chutes, there has only been one chute flowing and the river was low but this time it was spectacular. The river was wild, fast and rushing down three chutes and the rapids were crazy. This image shows the one smaller chute flowing quickly over the granite rock crevice. The unspoiled, rugged landscape with the pine trees lining the rocky shore, the swift flowing river and rapids and the stunning rock formations make a superb wilderness adventure and we loved every minute of our time there.
