"Giant Swallowtail On Buddleia" by Debbie Oppermann. It was a real treat for me to finally see the Giant Swallowtail, Papilio cresphontes, the largest butterfly in Canada and the United States. It has a wingspan of 3.9 - 6.3 inches and is quite spectacular in yellow and black with yellow spots and hints of red and blue. In this image, the beautiful butterfly is sipping nectar on the Butterfly Bush or Buddleia in Guelph Ontario Canada.
