"Between Two Cardinals" by Debbie Oppermann. I was super excited to see this female Ruby Throated Hummingbird enjoying the sweet nectar of the scarlet Cardinal Lobelia. The Hummer positioned itself between the two Cardinal Flowers as if to say "which one first?" The bright red Lobelia is growing in my backyard pond and the colorful background is the variegated Bulrush.
