"Pucker Up Buttercup" by Debbie Oppermann. While I am definitely not a fan of snakes this Eastern Garter Snake is a common reptile that is harmless. This Common Garter Snake was in the process of slithering over the rocks by the pond in Guelph Ontario Canada when it just stopped and sat up in the grass and looked as if it was puckering up for what I don't know. It stayed like that for a few minutes before slithering away.
