"Red Tailed Hawk" by Debbie Oppermann. On one of the country roads near Guelph Ontario Canada this Red Tailed Hawk was spotted perched on the bare branches of the winter trees in the woods. It was in the lower branches and I had to move around a bit to get all the branches out of my line of sight so I knew I wouldn't have much time to get a capture as these Hawks don't sit around long when there is movement. The Red Tails are very large raptors and usually sit near fields with their eyes focused on the ground looking for moles and more.
