"Stained Glass Wings" by Debbie Oppermann. This reddish brown Clearwing Hummingbird Moth, Hemaris, entertained me for quite some time as it flitted from one red bloom to another of the Cardinal Flower, Lobelia. It comes by its name honestly as it hovers, hums and nectars just like the Hummingbird and it loves the same flowers. This delightful Hummingbird imposter with stained glass wings image was taken in Guelph Ontario Canada.
